This presentation will show parents, teachers, and caregivers the importance of teaching sexual education to all people, regardless of ability level. People have a right to understand their bodies, to know about typical body changes and development, and how to advocate for their body rights.
After this presentation, participants will be able to:
*Identify why it is important to teach people with severe and profound disabilities sexual education
*Understand how to decide what materials to cover with students and other people with disabilities
*Identify ideas and different ways on how to present sexual education materials to students and other people with disabilities
*Understand the statics of exploitation and abuse of people with disabilities and why these statistics demonstrate the need for sexual education for all people.
