Review of Academic Learning in General Education by Students With Moderate/Severe Disabilities

Educators need effective practices for teaching academics in general education to students with moderate and severe disabilities. This poster describes the results of a comprehensive literature review on academic learning in general education settings for these students. Experimental studies were identified and evaluated using quality indicators of single-case design research. Both evidence-based practices and promising practices were identified that can be used by educators. 1. As a result of this poster session, participants will be able to identify 1 evidence based practice for teaching academic content to students with moderate and severe disabilities in general education settings 2.
