Eliminating Section 14(c): Collaborating toward a Future of Equal Wage Protections

Under Section 14(c) of the Fair Labor Standards Act, workers with disabilities can be legally paid subminimum wages. This discriminatory provision prohibits us from achieving the equity, opportunity and inclusion we deserve in the workplace. After a brief presentation about the history and recent legislative advocacy around the subminimum wage provision, an interactive discussion will be facilitated to brainstorm strategies to repeal Section 14(c). a.
