Collective Empowerment Among Self-Advocates, Siblings, and Parents

This presentation brings national advocacy and family support organizations that represent self-advocates (SABE), siblings (Sibling Leadership Network), and parents (Parent to Parent USA) to discuss the impact of collective empowerment in achieving enviable lives for people with disabilities and their families. By demonstrating the power of a common message, we can help reach greater equity, opportunity, and inclusion for individuals with disabilities and their families. After this session, participants will be able to explain how self-advocates, parents, and siblings can collectively improve equity, opportunity, and inclusion for individuals with disabilities. After this session, participants will identify the mission of each leading organization and understand its alignment with TASH.
