The purpose of this study was to provide effective family supports and counseling supports. The appropriate family support programs should be provided to all the members of the family of the children with disabilities by individualized interviews or counseling. The content of counseling should include medical, educational and psychological needs of the family as well as other specific events.
Participants will know the needs of the family supports and counseling supports regarding related services in the special education filed in Korea.
Participants will know that the family support program should be individualized by the interview or counseling.
Participants will know that the content of the family support program should be based on the family’s concerns, priorities and resources.
Participants will know the counseling support should include not only counseling related to therapies, medical services, educational and school selection, but also counseling on other specific events.
