Event description

Four Town Hall meetings are featured at this year’s conference to provide an opportunity for TASH members to engage in thoughtful discussions with federal partners on topics of concern. Much progress has been made to advance the human rights and community inclusion for people with disabilities — yet pervasive problems remain. These Town Hall meetings – meant to be productive, problem-solving conversations, will help identify and find new directions for addressing barriers and maximizing opportunities. Town Hall moderators will introduce the topic, TASH panelists will pose key questions, and federal partners will respond. All participants will have an opportunity to share thoughts as the discussion evolves. Town Hall proceedings will be documented in White Paper format and published in TASH Connections magazine following the conference. Don’t miss this opportunity to help influence the field! The two-hour town halls sessions will lead to solutions and new directions in the following areas:

Life in the Community
Inclusive Education
